- Robert: Aiden, look at that bull frog just sitting there!
- Aiden: Oh man, he's a BEAST!

The "K" Word
- Aiden (6.75): Mom, if we invite Jr from down the street to my birthday, we'll have to tell him that he can't swear.
- Sarah: Uh-oh. What'd he say?
- Aiden: *cups his hand to his mouth, secret style, and whispers* I can't say. It's bad, but it starts with a "K".
- Sarah: A "K"? You can whisper it in my ear just this once.
- Aiden: He said "krap".

Lightsabers In Heaven
Aiden and some boys from church were having lightsaber battles. It was evident that they had all vanquished each other by the awkward lull in the action...
- Aidan (of the Durias clan): I guess we're all dead now.
- Aiden (Leary): Oh man!
- Ben (oldest and wisest): *raising his saber* Now we're battling in Heaven!

Pigs And Ponies
Chloë's pigtails and ponytails just make me want to pick her up and squeeze her because she's so cute!
(What? Of course that's a masculine statement - nothing is more masculine that being a Daddy in love. Right?)

Opinionated
Chloë (20mos) has been given lots of things from friends - her favorite among them is a book featuring Dora the Explorer (whom Chloë calls "Dowa" - she's never seen the show). She also grew into a Dora shirt someone gave us.
- Chloë: Dowa, Daddy! Dowa.
- Robert: You want your Dora shirt?
- Chloë: Dowa.
- Robert: You're not old enough to have an opinion!
- Chloë: Dowa.

Golden Ticket/Underwear
We were doing laundry and a pair of yellow underwear dropped out of the pile, only to be scooped up later by Aiden (6.75).
- Aiden: Whoa! Somebody lost their yellow underwear!
- Robert: Uh-oh.
- Aiden: I found the "Golden Underwear"!
Then, sung to the tune of "I've Got a Golden Ticket" from the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie (the real one, filmed in 1971).
- Aiden: I've got a golden underwear. I've got a golden underwear in my hands!

Bell Curve Speech Patterns
When a plate of cookies is on the counter and a child sees it, they are likely to comment enthusiastically. The intonation of their voice takes on the distinct pattern of a "Bell Curve".
Palm Sunday bonus shots.
- Chloë (1.5): Ceekies! ooooooOOOOOOOOOoooooohhh!
Palm Sunday bonus shots.
