I love this pic. If you look closely you can see a campfire reflecting in those eyes too.
Here's the latest on the house...can't wait to break this baby in!

Aiden's 6th Birthday Party
Well, June 22 came so fast this year! Aiden turned 6 years old and I just can't believe how swiftly the time has gone by. This past year seemed to be the year that I lamented the days gone by when he was just a cute little boy. Now, he's quite a young man. He smells like a dude - no hint of that fresh-baby-smell everyone loves. He has all the scrapes, bruises and dirty pants to prove just how big and independent he's getting!
We had a lot of fun at his party this year. Aiden asked for a "strawberry cake with Army guys" - and Sarah obliged with a very tasty custom cake. We had a water fight at the park and Chloë rode on her first swing.
The cake: complete with strawberry and frosting bunkers for the army men.
Unfortunately, this photo is the only one with any "proof" that Sarah was actually there as evidenced by the shadow of a hand holding a camera. She took all the pictures, and in the chaos we forgot to get some shots with her in them - bummer.

First swing ride!
Happy birthday Aiden. I love you more than you'll ever know.

First Day Of Summer
Took the kids to play in the "water feature" at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver, WA.
Man, that sun was bright and my cell-phone takes horrible photos!

Blogging On The Floor
Well, we had our garage sale this past Saturday. And it went well. So well, in fact, that we sold all of our furniture accept (whoops, "except") our couch (now on craigslist)! So, here I am, sitting "Indian Style" (forgive the non-politically correctness of that quasi-racist description for "uncomfortably crossing my legs") on the floor behind our couch, trying to update this blog before my legs fall asleep and my back gives out! I'm just not as limber as I once was. Anyway, we'll be without a lot of stuff until we move...I just don't want to carry a bunch of heavy things!
Here's all that's left of our downstairs (we still have a piano and TV though):
Also, I finally got Sarah to upload all the photos on her cell phone to the computer so that I could post them for you. Her phone takes great photos.
I'm not sure, but this might be one of the few appearances my mug even makes on this blog! And half-shrouded by my kids, no less! At least they're cute.
I kinda missed the kids' sustained smiles on this one!
Sarah's a pretty good bowler...good enough to own her own ball, bag, and shoes...and good enough to pick up that spare!
Thumbs up for gutter-balls!
Keep an eye out for some even better gems from Sarah's phone in the near future (by "future", I mean when I can get myself into this position on the floor again for long enough to type!).
I'll call it: Flogging!

We're Selling Out
Well, I'm taking a few weeks off of work...and what better way to "rest" than to plan a garage sale and begin packing for our move...sheesh.
And now...the photos! (Yeah, I know why you're really here.)
Takin' a break for cartoons (no, we don't let Chloë watch TV, except here...)
- Garage/Yard/Estate Sale
- Saturday
- June 14th (6/14)
- 7am - 1pm
Anyway, we're (almost literally) selling everything...we're not above letting people come into our house and start making offers - estate sale style! Call or comment to get a "pre-view" and make an offer! The Leary's are "selling out!"
For now, check it out at:
